In observance of World Emergency Medicine Day, HEMA Hospital in Santiago de los Caballeros, strategically located in the municipality of Puñal, reaffirmed the importance and social impact of its Emergency Department, further establishing itself as a regional benchmark for accessibility and clinical excellence throughout the northern region of the Dominican Republic.

HEMA Hospital successfully hosted its corporate event, “Zumba with an M for Mom,” a comprehensive initiative designed to promote physical activity, well-being, and a stronger sense of connection among members of the HEMA family. Held on May 29, the event was conceived as a meaningful recognition initiative for the institution’s working mothers. By combining music, dance, and fitness activities, the program helped relieve the day-to-day pressures of the hospital environment while encouraging a healthier balance between participants’ professional and family lives.

This strategic initiative redefines the delivery of inpatient care in Santiago de los Caballeros, demonstrating that meaningful transformation of the patient experience is achieved by strengthening the essential elements of healthcare: timely presence, active listening, and proactive risk prevention.
