Dr. Wanda Almonte is a pulmonologist and Medical Coordinator of HEMA’s Pulmonology Department, with a distinguished clinical, academic, and scientific career in both the Dominican Republic and Spain.
She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory diseases, including airway disorders, sleep-related breathing disorders, interstitial lung diseases, and lung cancer. She is particularly skilled in advanced interventional pulmonology techniques, such as bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
Dr. Almonte developed a significant part of her career at the Albacete University Hospital Complex and at leading institutions such as Clínica Rotger, part of Quirónsalud. She has also contributed to medical education and the training of healthcare professionals.
She holds multiple master’s degrees in specialized areas of pulmonology and is actively involved in research, scientific publications, and international medical conferences. Her practice is characterized by a comprehensive, evidence-based approach focused on quality of care and patient safety.
